With the love of EV vehicles rising, many still seek the option to modify the appearance of their newly acquired EV vehicle. This is apparent with the sport compact design of the Tesla Model 3 that is booming across the world.

Many Tesla owners seek to modify their vehicles starting with the appearance; wheels. With the Tesla Model 3, range loss is always something to consider when purchasing a new set of wheels. While typical cast wheels are great for their price, the huge increase in rotational mass from these wheels really impacts the Model 3's range especially when they need to meet the EV vehicles load rating. The next best thing is to get rotary forged (flow forged / flow formed ) wheels. First casted then forged barrels give a great middle ground without pushing to deep into one's wallet. However, since the face of the wheels are cast, limitations are sometimes met due to differences in face profiles, offset ranges and wheel back pad size.

Forged monoblock wheels are the final tier in wheel construction. From pressed forged to milled forged, both set can be engineered and built specifically for any vehicle, from small compact passenger vehicles to larger and heavier SUV. However, with wheels such as these, price is on it's own level. This is where VS Forged comes in offering complete forged monoblock wheels at an unbeatable price. VS Forged constructs forged monoblock wheels and builds each set specifically engineered for any vehicle, including EV vehicles like the Tesla Model 3 and it's Performance Upgrade models.

Each set that we have seen built for the Tesla Model 3 has yet to exceed past 24lbs for a 20X10.5 to 20X11 wheel size. For reference the OE 18" wheel without the cover comes in at 21.6lbs while the OE 20" sport wheel comes in at 28.75lbs.

Customer sent in some installed photos of his newly acquired Avant Garde M650 in the standard Silver Machined finish.

Using Avant Garde's bespoke wheel program, you're able to get a nice aggressive fitment for the RCF in 20X9, 20X9.5, 20X10, 20X10.5, and 20X11.

We fitted this Lexus RC F with 20X10 with 20X11 with tires from Michelin Pilot Sport 4S in 265/30/20 and 295/30/20

Had a wonderful customer come by with his lowered Infiniti Q60 for a set of Vossen CVT.

We used Vossen's preset setup to get a nice OE+ fitment for this Q60 Premium in 20X9 and 20X10.5

Also had this set setup with a tire package as well for a nice grippy set of Nitto NT555G2!

Tesla Model 3 R&D | Wheel Fitment

Our job here at GetYourWheels is not only to sell wheels and tires but to also calculate the best fitment possible for cars out in the market. Today, we had the opportunity to work closely with a Tesla Model 3 owner who came by on his day off. As soon as he arrived and gave him the tour of the facility, we got right into work.

She was a tad dirty but she is pretty!

In case anyone wants to know what it looks like without the covers.

Front wheels off and the big caliper is smaller than the Model S so we can think many various wheel brands that will be able to fit over these. Also, if anyone decides to get a nice set of 3 piece forged set from Avant Garde, I can see some nice lip sizes being pulled off.

But we can't judge the size of the brake just by looking at it so we also measured that front caliper to ensure that other wheels that are asked about can fit without any issues. Also, it'll be technical info that we can use with many other manufacturers so that we can get the wheels built on the first time.

After that, we did some quick test fits with a set of Avant Garde M580 we had in stock in the 20" size.

Then, we decided to take it one step further and mounted a set of extra tires we had just to see everything put together and we believe we got the fitment down on point!
